Can we talk about this?

Ugh

So, my name is Gabe Rankin.

I am a programmer, and have been calling myself that since 2005. Before that, I was a nerd, and then a student nerd, although before I became a student nerd I became a diabetic, so I guess I was technically a student nerd that became sad around cake.

When I was 32, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, so now I’m a programmer that becomes sad around cake and hates health care debates because it’s all so hilariously pointless. Also, I don’t know when to end sentences.

I try to be good at programming. I’m actually (currently) in charge of the engineering side of the partnership between American Express and the company I work for - Red Ventures - which is probably the most glass place I’ve ever worked. Seriously - look at their website. There is a goddamn lot of glass.
